I once had a pt that woke up out of a coma when there was a huge lightening strike outside his window. He sat straight up in bed and hollered "Holy Moses!". He never did go to hospice, in fact he lived for about another year, and everyone called him Holy Moses from that point forward. Like the blog. I finally started one. Actually, it can cause quite untoward effects when given in larger doses, and I actually know of a patient who infarcted after being given a half milligram dose.
